Real Madrid will present a recourse to have Sergio Ramos' red card removed, after the former Sevilla man was dismissed in 'El Clasico' for lunging in on Messi.
The Madrid centre-back did not consider his sliding tackle to be so dangerous, and was surprised to see referee Hernandez Hernandez sending him for an early shower: 'The action looks dramatic, but Messi jumps and I do not touch him. In no case do I try to hurt my colleague'.
The Committee on Competition will come together on Tuesday and, though hopes of the red card being revoked are low, Real Madrid want to do everything in their power for Ramos to play against Deportivo on Wednesday.
