"I hope Gareth Bale's departure is imminent," said Zinedine Zidane in a press conference which caused headlines all over the world after extinguishing any slim hopes Bale had of staying at the club. Bale wanted to stay, but now he will have to quickly look for a departure.
The winger has offers, but to stay in Europe he will have to lower his salary and he is not willing to earn less than around 17 million euros so he will have to go to a far flung destination.
Some understand that it would be bad for Bale to move to the Chinese league at just 30 although Bale seems to have been tempted by the millions offered by a Chinese side.
Jiangsu Suning are willing to pay him almost what he earns at Real Madrid or even end up giving him the same salary, so that would be given the Welshman's approval. Bale needs to get game time under his belt.
Real Madrid and the Chinese club are now negotiating Bale's move, while the team he would supposedly be joining are now following him on social media. That seems another reason to think Bale will be going to China.
