The full-backs are an area of the pitch Barcelona need to strengthen in the near future, especially the right back spot.
Sergi Roberto has played in that position as an emergency measure, but Barca would prefer someone else. Nelson Semedo has not impressed the Catalans in any of his three seasons at the Camp Nou.
Therefore, the Barca sporting director and his team are scouring the market in search of a youngster for that spot. Sergino Dest has been linked with a move to the club.
However, Barca could opt for someone else. Max Aarons is also sought after by teams like Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Manchester United.
In fact, because of a risk of other other clubs buying the club, Barca decided to present an offer in recent days. It was unsuccessful though.
'Sky Sports' reports that Norwich City, the footballer's parent club, have reportedly turned down an offer of a loan spell in the Catalan capital because they wanted the deal to include a compulsory purchase clause. Barca did not agree with that.
It seems like yet another right back's chances of joining have gone up in smoke. There has been no specialist right back at the club since Dani Alves left in 2016.
